V.K. Hubbard (1970- ) was born in Omaha, NE while her father was in the military. The youngest of four children, she grew up in Northeast Tennessee. Her mother instilled a love of reading in her at a young age. She worked for 20 years as a hairstylist and a nurse. She is divorced with one child, a daughter. She also has a granddaughter and a grandson.
